Directives from the Insurance Commission of the Philippines
The Insurance Commission of the Philippines has introduced new directives to enhance consumer protection and ensure transparency in the insurance industry. The latest Circular Letter mandates all insurance companies authorized to sell life insurance products to establish and publish a Registry of Licensed Insurance Agents.
This initiative aims to safeguard consumers by allowing them to verify the credentials of insurance agents. This registry will be regularly updated and publicly accessible on the respective companies’ websites, ensuring that consumers are dealing with duly licensed professionals.
