Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
The Philippines’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is based on the Global Movement of The Human Safety Net. It is a project that aims to empower the disadvantaged – Families, refugee start-ups, and newborns. With this, we have patterned our CSR to cater to displaced families in poverty-struck areas of the Philippines.
Worldwide, COVID-19 has solidified its reputation in 2020. In this trying time, Generali Philippines has remain committed to be a Lifetime Partner to our clients; but, also to other communities who are underprivileged. Generali is about living in our community; where we operate is our home. And by home, it means extending full support, most especially to our disadvantaged kababayans.
In partnership with Grain Foundation for PWD, Inc., Generali, together with the utmost participation of its employees, has provided relief goods to people with disabilities and their families who are left vulnerable due to COVID-19 and community quarantine.
In combating these health and economic crisis, we believe in working as a community because we are indeed #StrongerTogether.
The 2019 edition of Generali Philippines’ CSR activity was held, this time, in Cebu last July 20, 2019. Residents of Barangay Sabang in Danao City were provided with free medical consultation and their needed prescription medicines. Free snacks, grocery packages, and old yet usable clothes were given out, as well. Moreover, kids were treated to a sing and dance party by their ates from GLAPI.
Generali will continue its efforts in making a difference in the lives of the Filipinos.
In 2018, GLAPI conducted a medical mission in Barangay Tibig in Lipa, Batangas. The objective was to reach out to those in need while living out the Generali Value of Living the Community. Members of the community, ranging from the youth to the elderly, received free medical consultation and medication care of GLAPI volunteers and partner hospitals. Simultaneous with these activities, were distribution of clothes, toys, and school supplies which were running scarce in the area. This will continue in other regions of the country, with Cebu as the next host of our CSR.
