Vaccines have proven to be a key tool in controlling many infectious diseases and preventing it from further infections. In the Philippines, vaccination against COVID-19 has started last March 2021. As of August 12, 2021, around 12.4% of the Philippine population has received at least one (1) dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) has been implemented again on August 6, 2021 to several regions and cities in the Philippines. This is to mitigate the spread of the highly infectious COVID-19 strains. The emerging COVID-19 variants has disrupted the plans of the world to slowly open public spaces, the economy, borders and etc.
