March 15 marked the 2nd year of the worldwide lockdown due to COVID-19. With the continuous decrease in reported COVID-19 cases, the Philippine government is currently allowing establishments and public transportation to fully operate with no restrictions. Offices, schools, restaurants, cinemas, and stores are slowly opening to the public.
Philippines is targeting this year to transition businesses to a hybrid work set-up; a mix of working at home and at the office. Employers and employees are uncertain of the “new normal” workplace set-up. Not only do employees worry about going through traffic and changing their work set-up but also risking their health when reporting to work face-to-face. As we welcome back our employees to the office, how do we keep them safe and productive in the middle of a pandemic?
Let us listen to Dr. Anna Lisa Ong-Lim, Chief of the Infection and Tropical Disease Division of the UP Philippine General Hospital (UP PGH), as she updates us on the latest COVID-19 updates and ways to mitigate the infection risk in this hybrid work set-up.
