30 After two years of absence, in 2021 the Generali Milano Marathon was back. The sporting event that brings runners of all ages together on the streets of Milan took place on Sunday 16th May, as a special edition, and proved that running is good for you and for the entire community. Participants were over 9,000 and sure enough contributed to supporting several non-profit organisations and The Human Safety Net’s projects for the most vulnerable - each at their pace, but all together towards the same goal. It was a special event aiming to offer a sign of hope, under the motto “running together, everywhere”. In compliance with Covid-19 measures, the traditional marathon was held alongside the Relay Marathon Anywhere Edition, a non-competitive race that allowed all teams to decide freely how and where to run, and to support their chosen charity. 132 professional athletes took part in the Élite Marathon, while 750 runners joined the 10km competition. La Generali Milano Marathon, che si è svolta domenica 16 maggio in un’edizione speciale, ha dimostrato che correre fa bene e fa del bene agli altri. Sono stati più di 9.000 i partecipanti, che hanno contribuito a sostenere numerose organizzazioni non profit e i progetti di The Human Safety Net per i più vulnerabili - ognuno con il proprio passo, ma tutti insieme per raggiungere lo stesso traguardo. Si è trattato di un evento speciale per dare un segnale di speranza all’insegna del motto “correre insieme, ovunque”. Allamaratona tradizionale, organizzata nel rispetto dell’emergenza Covid-19, si è infatti affiancata la Relay Marathon Anywhere, gara non agonistica che ha consentito a tutte le squadre di correre in forma libera, ovunque si trovassero. Sono stati 132 i professionisti che hanno partecipato alla Élite Marathon, mentre 750 runner hanno corso la 10km competitiva.
